Is Mnema open source?

Mnema is fair-code — source-available, not open source, and we won't pretend otherwise. You can read the code, run it, modify it, and self-host it freely. The one rule: you can't sell a hosted Mnema. Core is free; the graph, meetings, and org features are licensed.

How does pay-as-you-go work?

Individual and Team include a fair monthly allowance of the knowledge graph and meetings. When you go beyond it, usage draws down a prepaid wallet you top up via card — so you only pay for what you use, with no surprise bills. Everyday work (docs, flows, search, MCP) never draws from the wallet.

Can I self-host?

Yes — the community edition is free and runs entirely on your own infrastructure in about 4 minutes. The knowledge graph and meeting capture run as a licensed service we host; get in touch for early access.

Can I move between cloud and self-host?

Yes. Your docs and flows are yours to export and import, so you can start on the cloud and move to self-host (or the other way) without being locked in.

What do you store on self-host?

Nothing, unless you take an action that uses a hosted feature. The community edition keeps all your data on your own machine — your data never leaves your infra.

Is there an annual discount?
