Terms of Service

1. Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Mnema, a product operated by The Boring People ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using Mnema, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Use of Service

Mnema is a knowledge management and workflow tool. You may use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the service to transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any component of the service.
• Resell or sublicense access to the service without our prior written consent.

3. Accounts and Workspaces

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. Each workspace you create is subject to the plan limits associated with your subscription.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the content you create in Mnema. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display your content solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data.

The Mnema name, logo, and all related software are the intellectual property of The Boring People and may not be used without prior written permission.

5. Payment and Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion, with or without notice. You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Boring People shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the application. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
